If Josephine Lightbourne had not left and remained in Clarke's mind unaffected by the body. The two of them had to live together for a while. But on the way back to the village Clarke was absorbed by the bright purple light. and she traveled back in time to Earth. On the day she left the Ark for the first time.

Clarke decides to make things better by trying not to affect the future too much. While Josephine constantly tries to annoy her and try to snatch Clarke's body. 

Something messed up happened to them.
