Finding Melissa

My feet was aching, my eyes were still burning from the tear gas and i was sitting in a police precinct.Somehow none of these things from the above was bothering me as much as the lady in front of me who was gonna cause me more trouble without even realizing.

I was expecting her to send me back to my moms house that i had ran away from three weeks ago but she didn't seem to be contacting my mom.Not that she would have much success if she attempted to do so. We sat in silence for a few minutes while she tapped something into her computer.The silence wouldn't bother me this much in other circumstances but right now the echo of the keyboard noises were driving me crazy.

When she finally looked up at me i started to play with my nails anxiously. "Your father decided to take the custody of you, since we don't think your mother can provide you with the right living conditions."

17 years ago, Daphne Kaya had left the US to go back to Turkey.What she hadn't realised was that she was pregnant with the child of her short time boyfriend. Their relationship hadn't been anything serious and they decide that Denise would raise their child. When Denise starts to fall into an addiction for drugs, their child Melissa runs away from home at 15.

While she deals with her confusing family life, Melissa has to also deal with being a teenage girl and adjusting to this strange environment filled people she has never met, such as her father and her brothers.
