Rhiley Holtman is a twelve year old girl, she's anxious and complex. The girl had always been strongly opinionated and sassy for her age, but of course when the dead rise there isn't much left of the world.

Her home life was ugly, but maybe this outbreak will provide a solace for her. Or maybe she'll feel worse than ever before.

Rhiley will have to overcome many challenges thrown her way, travel and find a new family as this book progresses, doing some self discover as well.
