Drowning

Tanner Cromwell had been in a horrible accident that haunted his dreams and managed to haunt him still in his waking moments.

He thought he'd never get over it, would never get better or feel better. Even before the accident, he'd suffered mental issues, but drowning had not helped.

When silence was too loud, Tanner left the apartment building for the first time since he'd returned home from the hospital.

By chance or by fate, he met a boy, a boy that would change his life, and he would change that boys life, too.

Charlie Winslow suffers from severe depression, having had attempted suicide only once. It was the worst mistake of his life, but that didn't stop him from constantly thinking of trying again.

But no, he wouldn't. He couldn't. He wanted to get better, so very desperately. He started medication, and seeing a therapist. It slowly started to help.

The pills made him numb, but at least it kept the thoughts away.

Charlie hadn't found anything to truly make him feel happy again, to feel alive again. That is, until he met the boy that changed his life for the better. They helped each other for the better.
