Or: The choice to do what's right rests on everyone's head. Some of them just choose not to answer it.
--
The monthly hunts and races were supposed to be a fun event, with the aim of getting a friend for life. It was never meant to turn into a mission.
The rules were supposed to be clear, and easy to follow. Hunters and Runners had slightly altered rules from each other, to keep the game interesting. Lives weren't meant to be at stake.
But something funny is going on in Tommy's life, and the facts that he knew for certain are crumbling away into questions. What is actually going on with hunts and races, and why is Dream so desperate to prove something?
After an attempt on his life, Tommy knows he can't just let Dream win. He understands that Dream's manipulative, cruel, and willing to do whatever to get what he wants. But if he were trying to use those powers against Tommy himself, that would have been one thing. It's completely different when he's trying to break Purpled instead.

He swallowed as he realized the depth of the situation he was in. He knew what kind of knight was hunting him down right now: a bounty hunter. A ferocious warrior, swift and nearly silent, specially trained to capture wanted criminals and take them to their kings, for rewards of gold, jewels, riches, and power. There was no way he could escape or outrun him. He would always be one step ahead. He wanted... no, he needed to know if his family was safe. Even though it was unlikely that they were in danger, it was not impossible. And if there was one thing Techno didn't cope well with, it was losing the ones he loved. (Or, Technoblade's hopes of a peaceful retirement arc are shattered when he's hunted down by a ruthless warrior in a smiling mask. And oh God, why won't his brother just LISTEN to him for once?) And what about the famed vampire hunter Dream? ------------------------- "N-no," he chokes out, "I'll never be one of you MONSTERS! Fuck you! I'd rather die than be one of you FREAKS!" "Sadly, it's not your choice in this scenario." Technoblade says, smirking. Zᴏᴍʙɪᴇ | Uɴᴅᴇᴀᴅ!Tᴏᴍᴍʏɪɴɴɪᴛ AU
A young blonde boy wakes up in the middle of the forest. He can't remember how he got there or much about himself either. His name is blank from his mind, and he can't even remember his family. His clothes are torn and dirty, and he wonders what happened. He's not hungry, but he wants a small snack, yet every apple tree and every berry bush he passes doesn't strike his fancy. He eventually makes it to a city. Large buildings are fallen over and the ones still standing have busted out windows and/or have smoke and fire coming from them. He can hear distant screams and yells and gunshots. There are people passing him that are strange. They're badly injured and walk slightly hunched over. Some are missing limbs, and some are missing and eye, or both. They don't even appear to be alive to the boy. They look his way but don't mind him. Tommy is confused and scared. He can slightly remember this place to be his once home, and it makes him upset that's it's gone to such shit, and scared by everyone's screams and the fires and the fighting, and mostly, the fact that some people are eating each other. And why are people running from the boy when they see him? ~~~ TW// Cussing Blood Gore Fighting/violence Cannibalism Guns Weapons Injuries etc... ~~~ Started: January 14, 2023 Finished: January 15, 2023Complete
Of a Flock
A teenage boy is running from the law. A large bounty is over his head, and five Hunters are constantly chasing him, determined to get the money. It all changes when Dream gets wings. Now everything that he knew about life is upside down and twisted. As he is a magpie, his "bird-brain" takes over when he sees anything shiny, and he immediately wants it. It also pops up during great emotion, scattering his usual calm and cold reactions. His wings are tiny, not yet full grown, like they should have been because most avians are born with their wings. He doesn't know who he is, or what to call himself, and he no longer feels safe with the sudden new dangers around him, especially with his fresh wings to take care of. And now he is forced to play in a harsh competition of something like Minecraft where he has enemies from day one. At least he has Techno, his partner, who is only three years older than him, but he can't help but feel like the pink-winged avian could be a father. At least, until he realizes why that person wanted to protect him. And then he feels betrayed.Complete
