In the modern day, many creatures happen to exist but the most powerful are the ones that have hidden from their most recognizable forms. The four horsemen of the Apocalypse have returned in the year 2000 to break down another great empire. But the youngest of their forms is death itself which has taken the form of a normal girl. A girl named Miranda Winters that with merely a direct touch can stop someone's heart. Miranda must find  out what she is and who the other horseman are before she is called upon to be the monster that many fear. With the guidance of a military assassin named Archon, she will either be shown she does not have to be a monster or to embrace the destruction she is destined to create and lead.
