Having a father with cancer, Rico flies to the U.S. from Australia to live with his uncle  while his father recovers on his hospital bed. Rico writes daily letters about his life to keep his father constantly updated, but his awkward and innocent behavior gets him into a load of trouble. He faces many problems, both big and small, but he tries to stroll onward with a smile on his face. No matter what the issue, he still wants to give his father some positive company even though he's not there.
