In July 1975, Violet Judith Evans died of a heart attack at the age of 46 while on her way back from buying a cake. She had no history of a heart condition, and her death was very sudden. She was survived by her husband Tom M Evans (occupation unknown), and daughters Petunia Meredith and Lily Opal. Mr Evans was not seen again after the funeral, and Miss Lily Evans (later Potter) died six years later. Miss Petunia Evans (later Dursley) moved on with her life. The cause and effects of the first tragedy lasted for decades after.
