Octavia Wright had lots of bad experiences with relationships. She's had abusive exes, fake friends, even her parents hated her. She always thought that that was just what she deserved, that it was her destiny to live a terrible life, and have everything go to shit the second something finally goes right. They already had a son, George, and Alex loved him, they got along really well (at least that's what Quackity thought) When he started High school he fell madly in love with an older boy, Johnathan, although he preferred Schlatt.
