"Give it to me." I looked at her and she smirked at my confusion. "Just give me the cigarette. You're not going to go back inside with it, are you Ana?", "No, no I won't" I mumbled. "Then", she took a couple of steps towards me and placed her hand in front of me as a sign to hand her the cigarette. "Why have you been avoiding me?" I asked breathlessly. Ash lifted his free hand to his mouth and ripped the glove from it with his teeth, before placing his warm palm to my exposed back and pulling me flush against him. My fingertips flitted over his chest to lightly brush the exposed skin near his collar, and he hummed in approval. "Because," Ash said, leaning in to brush his nose and lips across my cheek. "You look devastatingly beautiful in red, and I promised I wouldn't push you." My eyelids fluttered shut as he spoke, and a tremble rattled through my limbs. "Ash, please," I exhaled, the draw I felt to him undeniable as we stood chest to chest, and I felt his lips brush over mine once. A kiss as soft as butterfly wings, but enough to make me burn. "Tell me to stop, Blaise," he rasped as he held himself a hair's distance away. "I don't want you to." --- Blaise Aoide didn't think demons were real, and she certainly didn't expect them to run the world's underground crime syndicate, the Decagon. But when her father trades her to notorious billionaire and supermodel, Ash Augustine, for a seat at the table, she discovers that beneath the world she knew lies the paranormal, and that she herself might be more than human. Ash Augustine isn't just one of the richest, most powerful men on the planet. Beneath his model exterior lies a secret-- a dark secret that's kept his family brewery thriving for centuries. But both he and the beast sharing his soul find themselves thrown off balance when a lowly mob boss presents his unruly daughter as the token in a trade. Now, Ash must face not only the woman living in his home, but the implications of falling in love with a mortal while sharing a body with the damned. --- COMPLETE plus bonus chapters of the next books.
