“You practically killed her! Killed her from the inside when she found out who you are! It’s all your fault!” He scrunched up his face in hatred towards me. He staggered forwards a few steps and jabbed his finger into my chest “ALL YOUR FAULT THAT SHE LEFT!”
He had told me this so many times and I thought the pain in his word would by now have already vanished, but it hadn’t. Every time he told me that it was my fault my mother left, it hurt more and more, nibbling at my subconsciousness which was telling me that he was right. I closed my eyes tightly and bit my lip as hard as I could. Maybe, just maybe, the pain in my lip would be able to eclipse the pain inside. What had I done that was so terrible to her? Had I even done anything?
