Seeing her come near, Sir Steven felt confused. He unintentionally stepped back and found himself bumping into the counter behind him. Eva couldn't help but grin, feeling some of the tension dissipate. Sir Steven joined in with a small chuckle. 'Have you had dinner?' Eva asked again, stopping in front of him. 'Yeah, I had dinner with my Professor.' Sir Steven replied in a soft voice, his eyes locked onto hers. 'Eva I' he started to say again when Eva moved closer to him and putting a finger on his lips gently, said, 'Shh. Don't say anything.' Sir Steven was left in a state of amazement, his heart pounding in his chest. He remembered the time he had confessed his feelings to Eva and gazed into her captivating eyes. He had said the same thing then. Her finger on his lips was enough to make his heart beat uncontrollably. 'I realized today, that I never responded to you when you told me about your feelings.' Eva said in a low voice to avoid waking anyone up. The lights in the kitchen were dim already, as Sir Steven had not turned on any extra light. Removing her finger from his lips, Eva placed her hands on the countertop behind Sir Steven. Standing on the tips of her toes, she leaned closer to his ear, and confessed, 'I love you too, Steven.' Sir Steven felt a jolt of electricity surge through him at her words. It was the first time Eva had taken his name, and it made his heart race. His breath quickened as he processed the powerful confession. As Eva began to straighten up, Sir Steven couldn't resist the overwhelming surge of emotion. He swiftly placed his hand on her back and gently pulled her back towards him. With his other hand, he tenderly grasped the nape of her neck and drew her closer, their lips meeting in a fervent kiss.
