Scaleborn Book 1 - The Breeder's Runaway Daughter.

This is a story about a young Beta female who goes by the name J.C., who ran away from her birth pack as a teenager, after she discovered that the man she had been raised to believe was her father, the alpha of her birth pack and her mother's mate, was not truly her father. Instead, she found out that her mother had fallen victim to a Breeding project in her own birth pack, and had escaped, only meeting her fated mate after she was already pregnant with an unnamed male's pup.
Feeling betrayed beyond reason, J.C. took har chances alone in the world and only barely survived an encounter with hunters, thanks to a young wolf named Atlas. Atlas's pack took J.C. in, and she built a new home for herself away from her real family. Years later, she has grown into a strong and confident she wolf, and has worked her way up the pack ranks to become Atlas's loyal Beta. The Beta and Alpha are best friends and together they seem to be unstoppable. Atlas with his calm and care free nature and J.C. with her brutal honesty and strength. However, there is something not quite werewolf about J.C., and people are starting to notice. There is a shadow within the Beta, one without a name or reason, and the only way to find out who and what she really is.. is to find out who and what her father was, but that proves difficult when other alphas are seeking to snuff out her alpha. J.C. will need to face her demons and discover her true identity, and accept it.. if her pack, her family are to survive.
