I was tired of everyone at that school. So one day, I let it all out in a letter. Then I burnt it. No one was supposed to get hurt… No one was supposed to pay for all my suffering. I didn’t know what would have happened that terrible night, or else I wouldn’t have taken out that pen and paper in the first place.

Finding the Fallen
Kala had always thought of herself as normal, but when the world ended, cleansed by a power most would fail to understand, she realized she was far from normal. That day, Kala awoke in a fog surrounded by a nothingness that permeated every pore of her body. The only sounds she could hear were her own ragged breaths in the vast and empty darkness. When the light finally returned, she found herself utterly alone and suddenly part of a struggle much bigger than she'd ever thought possible. With that struggle came something else...power. Power to control the elements. Power the likes of which she had only seen in movies or read about in books. Despite her disbelief, it remained...right there in the palms of her hands.
