To the outside world, Kayla Pierce-Addams is a mechanical engineer working for one of the biggest tech conglomerates on the East Coast. To her family and coworkers, Kayla is a loyal agent of HYDRA, following in the footsteps of her great-uncle, Alexander Pierce. Kayla is neither.
After working for years to take down HYDRA from the inside, Kayla's cover is blown in the data leak immediately preceding the fall of SHIELD. In the chaos that follows, she meets Yelena Belova, Red Room assassin.
