When Agent 8 woke up from a coma, she couldn't remember anything about her past life. She escapes an evil telephone and saves Inkopolis from becoming sanitized forever, but does it all in secret. Agent 8 is just trying to fit in with the inklings after saving them from extinction in a secret group who helps defend the world from evil. This group is called the Squidbeak Splatoon, Agent 8 being the newest member after escaping the darkness of the Deepsea Metro. Despite saving the world, her race has been recognized as enemies by all the inklings after the great turf war, making it hard for her to fit in. Luckily, her 2 best pals, Agent 3 and Agent 4, are there to help her fit in and catch up on all that she has missed in her time at the metro. As Eight journeys with them she hopes to recall memories of her past life and remember what she had forgotten when she fell into the metro. She hopes that by recovering these memories, she will be able to change herself for the better and learn from her past experiences under the octarian empire. As they explore their world together, 8 meets new people and visits places she never knew existed. However, danger lies on their path (surprise). Many people are out to get 8 and her friends, causing destruction all around her.
