Being a Physician Assistant has many challenges. One of the biggest challenges is the regular facing of life and death. In this short essay, I recall a moment in my career that I will never forget. It was the moment in which a patient took their last breath in front of me. I share this story in the first person as if I am still in the room. This is a day I will never forget.
