In the very beginning, Erudite made serums and simulations to gain control over Abnegation. But it didn't work. instead of going after Abnegation, the dauntless went after Erudite. After it was all resolved, the government 'fixed the problem'. Jeanine was kicked out o her faction, and later died from starvation with the factionless. Tris is now a full member of Dauntless, and her relationship with Four is growing. But after she and Four have a fight over him cheating on Tris, she is left with her adopted daughters.
