16 parts Complete

In the midst of a global pandemic, Evelyn has absolutely nothing to do. Her plans to go to college were completely derailed when she decided to take a gap year, and to make everything worse, her parents have decided to get divorced. To regain a little control in her life, Evelyn decides to take a road trip to their beach house in North Carolina. There, she hopes to find not only a bit of peace, but a piece of herself that has been missing for a long time. However, what she ends up finding there is infinitely more surprising: love. In this heartwarming short story, Evelyn and Miles navigate the constraints of COVID-19 to form a beautiful connection. From behind their masks, they learn to let down their guard and truly love one another for who they are--not what they see. -------- Word Count: ~18,800
