CJ is a African American girl  who's mouth get her into trouble sometimes.That's why she keeps  quiet which results for her to have no friends, well if you count her history teacher as a friends .  CJ's just any ordinary girl trying to survive high school and its problems without being seen. But her way of survival is shattered when she meets the new guy by the beach. 

Lucas Moretti is the exact opposite of what CJ expects from a guy . This mysterious guy with model looks wont' leave CJ alone, which is catching everyone's attention. CJ has to act fast and get rid of him before their "friendship" turns into something more.
