Constellations

The Constellations spoke a language they didn't understand, only making meaning of it from what has been passed down for centuries. To Tara, they were messengers. To Sam, they were random points of light. But they told a story.

She can't decide what it is about them that captures her attention every time they glimmer in the dark night.

Maybe it was because they guided lost sailors across turbulent waters. Maybe it was because they inspired poets to craft verses of love and sacrifice. Maybe it was the way it encouraged the belief of the dead watching upon the living.
