From their first childhood encounter, Junko Enoshima recognized in Abrian something the rest of the world could not see: a kindred spirit in the art of destruction. What begins as an innocent connection between two lonely children evolves into a torrid dance of interdependence where manipulation, passion, and an unusual kind of love become dangerously intertwined.

As they both descend into the depths of despair, Junko finds herself trapped in a paradox: the more unruly Abrian becomes, the more obsessed she becomes with possessing him. Their love transforms into an addiction, a sublime torment that consumes her as she watches, horrified and fascinated, as Abrian's despair eclipses even her own.

As the prestigious Hope's Peak Academy opens its doors to them, with each step they take together toward the abyss, Junko discovers a terrifying truth: the more she tries to possess Abrian, the more uncontrollable he becomes.

Junko will face the greatest despair of all: obsessively loving someone even she cannot control. How far is she willing to go to make Abrian her perfect king of destruction?
