Sam Miller is not your average athlete for she is tall, strong & powerful not mention very tough, smart, vocal, driven, and extremely headstrong, and one might say that she had everything that one would need to be able to play her sport at the next level. After a rocky start, a bond forms between Sam, Holley and AJ, and from that first meeting to the championship game, we see this bond as it becomes a friendship between the three of them, and it is in part due to this friendship that both Holley and AJ mange to teach Sam some lifelong lessons both on the off the ice, and it's through what Sam learns in these teachings that help her to see that there is more to life, including what it means to be a better person, and what it means to become "saved".
