You were quietly walking through town during Halloween, looking for something to do as the moon set. You watched as kids walked by in all kinds of costumes. It was interesting, you loved this time of the year. It was your favorite holiday. In the distance somebody was watching you. . . drooling. . . hungry. . . The large figure walked up behind you and stared you down, speaking up after a moment. "Did you know. . . Laid end to end, an adult's blood vessels could circle Earth's equator four times. . ?" The figure spoke with a deep, rumbling southern accent that shook you to your very core.

You can predict the sick things they will do to you. But when the monster looks human, you're blindsided. One minute you're in love with a guy and the next he's slitting your throat. Trust me, I speak from experience. Gruesome things that use to make me sick now makes my stomach flutter in joy. I traded charming grins and blue eyes for carved smilies and orbs of onyx. I traded sunlight for the glow of the moon. I gave up living amongst humans for creatures of the night. And I wouldn't go back for anything in the world. I am finally home. I've spent so much time running from monsters that it's my turn to do the chasing. Sweet Dreams...
