10 year old Amara got out of the car after hearing 2 loud bangs. She discovered her older brother's body, lying in a gushing pool of blood. He was shot in the chest, and died instantly.
Amara was the only witness and had seen the killer with her very own eyes. There were no security cameras on that day, and the killer didn't leave any DNA behind, so there was nothing to go off of. The police didn't trust a 10 year old's words, and the case eventually went cold.

A few days after her brother's brutal murder, a bomb exploded at his high school, killing 2 students. Amara can't help but wonder if her brother's murder and the bombing were connected.

Now a sophomore, Amara finds herself drifting off from reality more than ever. She keeps feeling like she missed something that was important to her brother's murder. But everyone around her keeps telling her to just let it go.

Without the help of anyone but herself, Amara is determined to put her brother's murderer behind bars, no matter the risks and sacrifices.
Along the way, she gains and loses friendships, and discovers her true potentials in the ineffable mysteries.

Is anyone who they really seem?

Charley Beckett-perfectly sane, normal, Charley Beckett-counts everything. Years since her parents' unsolved murder: fifteen. Bodies she's found dead: three. Puncture wounds on each of their throats: two. People who believe her when she says vampires are to blame: zero. Since her parents' murder, she's tried to get past her hallucinations, PTSD, and her reputation as the little red-haired girl police found screaming about monsters that didn't-surely, couldn't-exist. But there's this story-conspiracy theory-swirling around her small town that says her father was part of a secret government experiment, one that would prove vampires weren't legends at all. And Charley can't move on. Especially when she stumbles upon a dead girl with the same bloody puncture wounds as her parents-and someone follows her home. Left with no one who believes her, Charley breaks into the abandoned facility where her father once worked, desperate to find the truth. But she's not the only one after answers. Victor, a handsome vampire, is there to convince her that not only is she perfectly sane, but he's the only one that can save her from those who seek to abuse her connection to the government's experiments. However, when Victor knows details about her parents' death that only the murderer could, Charley will need to learn to trust herself, no matter how crazy her thoughts may seem. If she doesn't, she'll go from counting bodies to counting her last heartbeats...one...two...three...nothing. "Maybe someone heard my screams or maybe the reaper wears combat boots..."

'If you are reading this then you are Blissfully Unaware of what is Creeping right behind you.'- Unknown. ************************************ "I am not afraid." She said to herself trying to calm her heartbeats. She stood right in front of the dusty glass door. Placing both her hands on it she tried to push the door. For the split of a second she saw a young lady, her hands and face covered in blood, impatiently banging on the door. The wind around her went crazy. She heard random whispers in her head. Rhea was unable to focus on anything around her but the lady. The lady was saying something but for Rhea it felt like some random lips movement. She was scared out of her wits. Then suddenly everything went dead silent. The lady vanished. The whispers and the wind stopped. But then Rhea saw light imprints of blood on the glass door under the dusty layer. ************************************ This book basically contains short horror stories of my own imagination. They may be a bit creepy and weird but that's how the book goes. These stories are short but scary. I hope you'll enjoy them. It's my first book ever so please support it.
