After the fall of New York, Lorna barely manages to escape with her newborn nephew before all the bridges and any exits are bombed, keeping not only the dead but also the living trapped behind. In the following weeks, she heads south, hoping that everywhere wasn't hit as hard as New York had been. During her stay at an abandoned gas station, she runs into Rick Grimes and decides that the safest thing she can do is stay with him. After all, there is safety in numbers. What comes after is the life, death, and rebirth of Lorna Wells.
