Or, what would've happened if Uma was one of the 5 VKs originally selected to come to Auradon. And if Hades hadn't been able to wake Audrey up... and that scene was a reprise of One Kiss instead.
(Also go read Were You Expecting Flowers? first because it's a prequel to this :))

Ben was everything she'd wanted since they were kids, chasing each other around the castles. However, when Audrey claimed him at the ripe age of 5, Ryder was forced to hide her affections. She settled for having a best friend in the boy she considered her first love. She hadn't thought of anyone else, until he joined her at Auradon Prep. 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐥 didn't love his life of crime and rule breaking. He did love being around his found family. The four VKs he had bonded with on the Isle of the Lost had become more family than his mother had ever been. When the five were offered a full ride to Auradon Prep, he was silently excited. He kept his nonchalant exterior but knew this was a going to be a double sided axe. Every story has its conflict. 𝐑𝐲𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐨 are destined to find hatred and resentment towards each other, that is until one of them is spelled other wise... FEM!OC x MASC!OC DESCENDANTS FIC ⁻⁻⁻ⁿᵘᵐᵇᵉʳ ¹ ᵒᶠ ˢᵉʳⁱᵉˢZakończone
