Normally, he wouldn't have attended, but unfortunately for him someone has made it out to be that he felt he had to.

Madeleine; a popular, gorgeous Paladin of the Light, got the same invitation. Although neither of them had any idea what could possibly happen later on in the night of the ball, somehow they found each other attending.
