Allison Waters has her entire high school life planned out-perfect grades, student council presidency, and absolutely no distractions. That is, until the school's biggest slacker, Nikolai Anderson, is suddenly forced to work with her. Nikolai is everything Allison can't stand-lazy, irresponsible, and far too smug for his good. He seems to enjoy annoying her at every opportunity, turning every interaction into a game of wits. But when their teachers decide that Nikolai needs to mature, he's assigned to help plan the Valentine's Day dance alongside Allison. Now, they're stuck together-choosing decorations, managing budgets, and spending way too much time in each other's presence. At first, Allison is convinced it's going to be a nightmare. But as they're forced to work side by side, she starts to see a different side of Nikolai-one that's funny, kind, and surprisingly thoughtful. Before she knows it, she doesn't hate his presence as much as she thought. Maybe she even enjoys it. But just as things begin to shift, rumors start spreading-ones that make Allison question everything she thought she knew about Nikolai. Betrayal stings, and suddenly, the growing connection between them shatters. With the Valentine's dance approaching and the truth finally coming to light, will Allison be able to let go of her pride and admit how she feels? And will Nikolai prove that he's more than just a class clown?
