Two years after the finale of "Cardfight!! Vanguard: Heiwa", the curtain rises on a new era of the game.

In an age where worldwide communication is at an all time high, every fight is a struggle to stay relevant in the minds of the audience. In this godless era, all strive to be the one on at the throne when the dust settles.

Ibuki Harui, previously Izuru's resident gremlin that came attached to his girlfriend Ibuki, takes the stage as the latest gremlin protagonist of the Cray's Collapse Extended Universe. Along with Kiba Yukie, a girl she shares a troubled past with, and Ryougi Satoru, a fellow fighter striving for the top like her, she begins her high school life as a student of Heiwa Academy. Joining them is Uekoshi Kikka, a novice who aims for the same throne as Harui and Satoru.
