Or, at least they thought they did. As it is with all fiction, there is always a little bit of truth in those stories. There was an Ichabod Crane, an Abraham Van Brunt, and of course, a Katrina Van Tassel. There was also a devious prank, but other than that, it was all made up. Too bad not everyone understood, that just because some of it was true, not all of it was. Tessa Crane, a descendant of the same Ichabod Crane that made her hometown famous, thought she knew the story, the real story anyway. It was her history after all. However, everything changes one fateful Halloween night. Tessa and Abraham "Ander" Van Brunt the Seventh, Tessa's rival and least favorite person, have no choice but to work together when they become targets of the Headless Horseman himself. It's a race against time to discover the truth of what happened between their families all those years ago. Will they defeat the Headless Horseman in time or will they both lose their heads?

A deranged masked woman broke in and threatened my life, as well as my grandparents...all because someone saved me before. This place isn't safe anymore...' You glance out the window again before continuing. 'Liu's keeping secrets from me... more than he's letting on... I'm supposed to go with him now, to his home I've never been before...where I assume more psychos like the tall man who saved me live with him... How could my life flip completely upside down just from one night? Everything was fine. I'm scared...these guys seem unstable, but I won't endanger my family. I just hope I don't make any of these psychos my enemies for when this is over.' -- NOTE: You won't be happy and in love in the first five chapters. I want to show the process of befriending these kind of characters from somewhat realistic expectations. It's quite serious yet it also contains comedy and action at the same time! The main pastas are 18 years old and older.

Kataleya Dietze is a mute woman who was born to one of the most dangerous man in the world but she only knew him as a loving father with really sharp teeth Eckhardt Dietze or as he's known now in a small village known as Sleepy Hollow "The Headless Horseman" she lost her father and mother when she was 3 years old her father to war her mother to people who wanted her father to pay for the sins he committed against them she was found by the Van Tassel family when she turned 6 and became a family servant/"friend" of their 2 year old daughter Katrina when Kataleya turns 22 and Katrina turns 19 they meet a man named Ichabod Crane who was sent to solve some very unusual murders and to "watch over" the poor Constable Baltus Van Tassel Katrina's father has Kataleya become his personal servant one who is to work and stay with throughout his entire stay and though it seemed to be love at first sight for the man who felt sorry for her because she could not speak Ichabod allowed it mainly because he didn't want her to get in trouble with her "family" as the days go by Kataleya and Ichabod grow closer and become friends then lovers when Kataleya meets Ichabod she's surprised he knows sign language and can understand her "expressiveness" that she uses to speak with he also knows morse code Ichabod is surprised at how open she is and shocked to find out that she is the daughter of the Headless Horseman what shocks him even more is that he's the only one that knows the main problem for Ichabod is when she refuses to return to New York City with him once the job is finished will he be able to change her mind!? will he leave New York City to stay with her!? will their relationship survive!?
