Irena Ivanakof grew up in the red room. She was raised to fight, hunt, assassinate, and kill anyone whom she was told to. When she somehow broke free of the mind manipulation she was fed up, she attempted to escape and was caught. As punishment, she was sent to kill 2 Avengers, Natasha Romanoff, and Steve Rodgers. When she refused to kill them Natasha made sure she'll never have to go back there again.
