George Lowell is a lonely 30 year-old english student who travels solo to see his father down in Maine. One day at a café, he encounters a young french woman (Anne-Marie) inviting him to her table as she flirtaciously asks him existential questions. Intrigued, he carries on the conversation until she asks him to come and meet her boyfriend. Ruluctant but with no plans, he agrees. He then meets her boyfriend (Angel Gallo) a Spanish-English barista with a natural charm and impressive intellect. George has competition and in the same time, wants to be his friend. Together they decide to embark on a week-long trip to Anne-Marie's family farm and things get weird from there.
