So this is a story I wrote about a girl named Nova. She lives in a world where everyone has a supernatural power. Nova is 13, and if a person's power doesn't show by the time they're 14, they're given to the Government to either be tested or killed. The Government basically makes all the decisions for the whole country. So, Nova's 13, and she still hasn't discovered her powers. When her birthday comes, she still has no power. She can either be sent to the Government, for either testing or death, or she can risk her life running away. I created this story, I created these characters, the characters and the plot are mine. Hey guys! This is a book I wrote myself with my own story and charcters, it took awhile to finish so I hope you like it! Also I edited it but if there is any mistakes let me know! The story is about this girl named Romina Cordelia Squire who was born during a solor eclipse. Which gave her powers, the main power being able to stop the never ending war that has been going on in there country. Her parents hid this from her but she has friends in the castle she talks to about it. One she may like more than a friend, a girl she had been friends with for forever but does she feel the same and what will she throw away for the attention she has been wanting. Will Romina find love in this medieval time where loving the same gender gets you sentinced to death and will she use her powers for good or for evil.

Lemon, a snobby roeyael, lives a lonely life with only his busy parents and their medicine keeper, Grati, to keep him company. He's about to turn fourteen when he starts to hallucinate and have nightmares. Lemon's not sure whether it has to do with the fact that the trelian characteristics show on your fourteenth bornday, a banned being that is sought after and killed at any chance, but Grati starts acting suspicious. Suddenly, he's kidnapped for his own protection and joins Fox, a street girl who Grati saw in his last vision from the Star People. What will they do now? They have to find a way out of the mai before they're surely found, and killed. A short story for middle school readers. Please do not copy anything of the story, as this is my original work. The year is 2040, and for the clones that were created during the brief run of a shady high tech company in the early 2020's, the time has come for them to become adults. Madelyn has been attending an all girls' boarding school with a large percentage of cloned girls for all of her academic life, and sees the changes in the girls as they approach graduation. Many of the clones were made from stolen DNA from supermodels, singers and actresses, and have almost no shot at a real future because of the sheltered way they were raised. They'd been isolated and completely dependent on the school and the families that ordered them as though they were nothing more than food on a menu. But not every clone is going down without a flight, as Madelyn finds out when she meets her new next door neighbor. This was written for the Open Novelle Contest 2023, Prompt 61: A new neighbor comes to town. Not a very social person, they hide out in their house every day, only leaving through tinted cars. Then, one night when you are going out, you look straight into the face of your idol.
