Presented as an Alternate Universe, this story takes you through the twist and turns of what ifs-as well as what should have been for our favorite couple Max and Helen. 

What if the seasons were presented differently?

What if certain people never died.

Certain hearts never broke the way they originally had?

And- most important:

What if Helen never stood up Max at the alter?

And what if the writers of New Amsterdam gave us what we actually wanted and deserved. 

I can't promise this fanfic will satisfy all your needs or leave you wanting more, but it's worth a shot- which is something we didn't receive in season 4 and definitely not in season 5....which we will no longer mention.  So hang onto your buts, because this ride may get bumpy.
