What if the seasons were presented differently?
What if certain people never died.
Certain hearts never broke the way they originally had?

What if Helen never stood up Max at the alter?
And what if the writers of New Amsterdam gave us what we actually wanted and deserved.
I can't promise this fanfic will satisfy all your needs or leave you wanting more, but it's worth a shot- which is something we didn't receive in season 4 and definitely not in season 5....which we will no longer mention. So hang onto your buts, because this ride may get bumpy.

[Book 2 in the Secret series] "That's not what I meant..." I chew on my lip. "Well, what the fuck did you mean then?" He shouts. "When I'm there I don't have to think about you!" I yell back.
