**EXCERPT FROM STORY**
He looks at me and I see the reflection of the water in his eyes. Before I know what’s going on he’s moved, and he yells out, “Israfiel!” as he kills a demon that’s in the water. It screams and he plunges Israfiel deeper and then yanks it out whilst the demon folds in upon itself and goes back to whence it came.
He looks at me whilst standing in the water and says, “You should keep a better eye out. You never know what might be lurking.”
I say, “Oh, so now I’m supposed to be able to see out the back of my head? You do realise only mothers can do that.”
He grins dryly at me and says, “No, you just need to be more wary of your surroundings.”
I am easily offended, so I’m ready for a full on argument, when I notice something at Jace’s feet. It’s another demon. “JACE!” I yell, but it’s too late, and he’s pulled under the surface of the water.
This is the story of Jace and Rachael. I do not own the characters, they belong to Cassandra Clare. I just wrote this because I thought it would be fun. I really hope you enjoy it!! :D

Remi has always loved the forest, the different sounds, smells, the way she could get lost in it and never have to go home to her non-existent parents.
