Before the construction of the hives, two cities stood amid the growing continent. Wealth and prosperity grew above Fyrerost, leaving only dust and scraps for the underdeveloped Hymeno, and conflicts ensued at every corner of the cities.
Secluded beneath the thriving city, a new powder called "augments" provides Undergrounders with unfathomable power, but at a cost. Tensions boil with the creation of the "mesmer", a way for Queen Wasp to infuse her mind into any HiveWings. Bloodsheds between the two cities inflicts permanent ruin, and Nomada finds himself in the middle of a war between rogue convicts and deadly poisons.
