Sergio Jakeš is your ordinary 16 y/o. He loves his friends, is brilliant in studies and is a champion in swimming. He is the model student everyone wants to be but only his insecurities and slightly introverted behaviour stops him from being at the over-all (academics and co-curricular) top of his grade. Only for things to suddenly go downhill once again, this time though the crux of the matter was far more worse than anxiety could ever be. He had suddenly caught Hanahaki, a deadly, rare and mythical disease. With very less people who even know the name of the disease Sergio finds help in an unlikely friend.

Hayden Thorne is 16 y/o with diverse tastes in life and the best tastes in fashion, food and music. Loved by everyone, she is great in studies and kindhearted but she has one fatal flaw: grudges, she was hard to anger but one wrong word about her close ones and she'd hold a grudge with you lifelong. She loves music and up until a few months ago, she was the leader of her school band leaving a post she worked hard for due to unknown reasons. Despite being friends with some of the most popular students in the entire school, barely anyone knows more than the basic details about her. Shrouded in secrets, there is one secret she holds the closest to her heart and only very few people know of it. Hayden has Hanahaki. A deadly disease with no known medical cure. With only a few friends she can trust Hayden is not ready for the roller-coaster her life is about to turn into.
