She is adopted off the streets and brought up by an adoptive family that plans to use her as a sacrifice in order to please the gods. She faces the difficult decisions of whether to fight against the injustices of the world or to follow the wishes of her adoptive parents and succumb to their control. Along her journey she questions the meaning of life, free will and how she can truly live her life as her own choice.
