Wizarding World: Harry Potter
Wizarding World: The Marauders
What if Remus Lupin had been allowed to raise Harry Potter? How would life have been different for both of them? . In the distance, cheers sounded. Magic fireworks were sent into the sky. Owls carrying letters filled with unbelieving joy. But Remus was not sharing the sentiment of his peers. Because Remus was kneeling in the snow in front of the ruins of what once was a place filled with joy and love. Now, looking upon the broken walls, the fallen roof, it was a stark reminder of what he had lost. His brother and sister in everything but blood. His best friend, murdered by who he thought was the love of his life. Remus had spent years of his childhood believing he was alone. He wanted to scream at his younger self, because that naïve little boy had no idea what loneliness truly was. Loneliness was knowing that everyone he loved and ever cared for was dead in the ground or dead inside the soul, deep inside an inescapable prison. This will be focused on Remus but include Wolfstar later on :)

Remus followed her out of the Great Hall, his quiet gaze never leaving her. Something was wrong. Rilana Black never let her emotions slip, never allowed cracks to show. Yet now, beneath the open night sky, she stopped at the edge of the Black Lake and broke. Her knees hit the ground as if the weight of everything she had buried finally pulled her down. Silent for so long, her sobs tore through the stillness, raw and unguarded. Remus lowered himself beside her, his voice gentle, almost hesitant. "Talk to me, Ri. What's hurting you?" Rilana lifted her face, streaked with tears, eyes blazing with a grief she could no longer contain. Her voice trembled, breaking as the confession left her lips "I love him, Remus. I'm in love with someone I can never have."
