Every time I read a "zuko x reader" fanfic it's always some cheery and light hearted girl who helps the broken fire nation prince find his way and a path away from hate and anger. But what about a story where two hearts alike meet. Both broken, both angry at the world and on a mission no one can stop. Both closed off not allowing anyone close. They hate each other but are useful to one another eventually as they learn more about each other they realize they have more in common than they realize.. what will happen and how will your love story unfold.

Katara spend a great amounts of time hating Zuko after his betrayal under the crystal catacombs of Ba Sing Se. She had trusted him and he had betrayed her. When he joins Aang and starts teaching him fire bending her emotions get complicated and she is soon torn between her hatred towards the fire nation and her strange attraction to the Prince of said nation. This is an Avatar : The Last Airbender fanfic in which my OC, Madelyn Grace Langston (or Maddy) is integrated into the story without changing the plot a whole lot. Virra, a non-bender who is not only good at but enjoys holding grudges tries to find her way after she is left behind by Mai to join Azula's 'elite squad'. She needs to find her place in this story and plans to make good by joining team avatar to redeem herself from the horrible family and nation she comes from.
