In this new world world, Vampires are on the run and Humans use them as slaves. Evangeline disagrees with this lifestyle but has no other choice since her Father is the one and only Maxwell Haywood, the creator of the weapon that all vampires fear. Evangeline fears the creatures of the night more then she lets on but when the Seekers are chasing a rebel Vampire she can't help but intervene and save him. Hiding him from her father, she starts to understand the vampire race more and starts to experience new feelings towards the person she is supposed to fear.
