In the year 2040, New York City is not what it used to be. The world has changed, and technology has taken unprecedented leaps. But with progress comes danger. Meet Regan, a brilliant scientist and the leader of TRACKERS, a covert team of researchers working on advanced cerebral analysis projects. One fateful day, while walking outside NY Medical, Regan's life takes an unexpected turn. An explosion rocks the medical facility, throwing the city into chaos. As alarms blare and people flee, Regan receives an urgent message from his teammate, Andrea. The situation is dire, and TRACKERS must be activated. Regan rushes to the scene, discovering a grocery store overrun by panicked citizens, claiming they're being targeted. Among the chaos, he encounters Ishara, who pleads for help. Her daughter, Rhea, is critically ill, and they need assistance. As Regan races against time to save Rhea, Andrea, stationed at their secret base, prepares the TRACKERS technology, a cutting-edge system that can uncover the truth behind a string of mysterious murders. Ishara's distrust slowly transforms into a desperate hope, and she agrees to let them use this experimental treatment on her daughter. With Rhea connected to the TRACKERS system, her memories unveil a malevolent figure, Cal, lurking in the shadows. Cal has been the puppeteer behind a series of heinous murders plaguing the city. As Regan and Andrea attempt to decode Rhea's memories and confront Cal, they find themselves entangled in a web of deception, power, and dark motives. Cal, an enigmatic and menacing figure, is determined to maintain control by any means necessary.

In the not-so-distant future evolved humans emerged. Those who had powers that broke conventional laws of physics, chemistry, and biology were dubbed E.H.s (evolved humans); it was wondrous for a time. Of course if there was power to be used there would be those who misuse. To that end the evolved humans police department was formed to deal with all crime committed by or connected to E.H.s, a force entirely comprised of E.H.s trained to stop and capture any E.H. breaking the law. Adlet Blacksteel is the newest edition to the E.H.P.D., his skills and experience as a hostage extractor makes him an invaluable edition. Joined by his new partner, Jenna Jones, he pursues a secretive manhunt for the Soldiers Of The New World, an underground E.H. crime organization that has a hand in all that is illegal, and their mysterious leader: String, who, seemingly, has eyes and ears everywhere. While Adlet and Jenna intend on doing this by the books, their unsavory past with two of String's captains may muddy their judgement, or, more accurately, it already has. As String's ambitions grow beyond just controlling the city's underbelly Adlet and Jenna are forced to take action with an ally he did not desire. While prejudice against E.H.s reaches it's peak because of a horrific tragedy, the Soldiers of the New World waste no time to expand their reach and rally for their cause of taking over the city. Adlet goes to the edge of sacrificing everything and back again. On the way, betrayal awaits at every corner.
