This a story about a high school boy named Elijah Harrison, normally called Eli and his father, William Dennis, who works at a coffee shop with his son, Elijah. The year is 1983 and they live in a small town everyone knows each other, they're all neighbors and good friends. One day, a criminal escapes from prison, police don't have much information because this criminal is smart even if they don't have as much education as a usual criminal would. Without spoiling anything, the criminal so happens to escape and flee to the town where Elijah and William reside in. Elijah has a crush on a girl named Misty, also known as Melissa... He doesn't know the real truth about her, nor does his own group of friends. Trouble begins after the first known attack. Let me know if you'd want the link to that. The woman on the cover as "Misty" aka Melissa is the one and only Tiffany Darwish in the 80s. I advise you to be at least 13 to read this since this book does include language and mentions of grass use.
