It has been years since the war broke out and Julie Wright was brought to a survivors camp after her parents had died. There she's taught to survive and gets toughened up. That is, until the new boy comes around.
Even though everyone stays the heck away from him, Julie's stubbornness won't let him show her fear. After all, she's been dreaming about him for a year now, surely there must be some reason for it. He must know the answer and Julie is determined on getting it.

We reached the hospital and Ryder, still being gentle, jumped out of the car. Zach opened the doors for him and they rushed inside the emergency room. "We need a little help." "If it means anything, she has panic attacks." Ryder explained. "Page Shepard." She told someone. "What's her name?" "Lucy." Ryder told them. Lucy Smith is entering into her first year of high school, going to school with her best friend and four out of her five older, protective brothers. Being part of the Smith family gives her some different effects on the the guys around her and some people don't take too kindly to that.
