With the hierarchy in mind, he seeks to put the ace back in her place through more nefarious means. To him, this is his calling - to assemble a perfect order of high tiers. The way it should be. What is a place without its structure?
However, as it turns out, cleaving apart the inseparable yields explosive consequences. The hierarchy is trivialized as new faces and enemies emerge from impossible angles. Friendships grow, break, and everything in between as the fallout of Arlo's meddling achieves a true toll, leaving John and Seraphina ever stranded to follow a different path in an unforgiving place.
Will they find each other again or will one overstep prove to be the demise of many?

Second Chance
Taking his fathers words to heart, John Doe returns to Wellston with the intention of expelling himself from the hierarchy; attempting to turn over a new leaf with the ones he fought with for weeks. A short time after John's return, Isen comes to him battered and bruised from a late night battle pleading for assistance as both Seraphina and Arlo are nowhere to be found. With Blyke and Remi's well beings on the line, John has to make a decision to either become the man his wishes to be, or to remain the cold king he was before. How will this unforeseen event build and destroy bridges that were once thought to be unbreakable, and those that were thought to be permanently broken. (All Events take place as John is returning to Wellston and he begins to realize that Seraphina is hiding things from him, however, John has not made any attempt yet to join the Safe House and the clubs trip is still in the planning phase.) Arlo struggles to get another term in office, he will soon discover that Ember has returned and will ultimately destroy each of their lives, Emerson's ability doesn't seem all powerful anymore as the rise of Hybrid abilities come to play. Facing a fight with his former friend, Seraphina, John is forced into a situation where he truly embraces the old. Unready and unwilling to change yet, John stands his ground with his years of experience propping him up to face the goddess who wants to talk. John knows what Seraphina wants, he's just not willing to give it. (This story is a take on the alternate future that could have been in Unordinary had John been more stable during his fight with Seraphina. This piece will delve into the idea of the final fight not being a simple solution where Seraphina breaks through to John, but starts an entirely different series of events with a slower path to reconciliation.) John has a cousin who also attends Wellston, and who has dethroned Arlo. He rules similarly to Rei, discouraging bullying and doing his best to break the distance between the tiers, but nothing seems to work. Then, he gets wind that his cousin has enrolled as a cripple, and has successfully befriended the second-most powerful student in the school: Seraphina. Urging John to reveal his power and help him break the distance, he does everything in his power to bring John, not into the hierarchy, but to accept himself and his past. But what happens when the jack, Arlo, overhears their discussion? Will John become the Joker? Or will he accept his power with the help of his cousin? That's for me to know, and you to find out.
