Exploring Sorrow is a book that takes place within the kingdom of Zozar. Zozar is an ancient kingdom founded by the native Kuusolian tribes many centuries ago.

The book takes the perspective of the main character, Seraphim Elms, prince of Zozar and heir to the throne. He is a gay guy who comes from a heavily conservative Christian family and kingdom. To make things worse, he practices the forbidden ancient religion Kuusol. Queen Henrietta and King Samwise, parents of Seraphim, have sworn to imprison followers of Kuusol. What will happen next? How will Seraphim survive?
