In one universe, six extraordinary people join forces to save the world. Battles are won, lives are saved, yet, in the end, the team falls apart and half the universe's population is wiped out of existence as a consequence.

In another universe, seven extraordinary people join forces to save the world... and end up saving the entire universe instead.

Alanna Becker is the catalyst in a war between good and evil - a war she doesn't realize she's fighting until she gets a call in the middle of the night that her uncle is missing... and so is the Tesseract. To get him back, she has to rejoin Shield and the Avengers - and face a past she thought she put behind her.

DISCLAIMER:
I do not own the rights to, nor do I claim to own the rights to Marvel, its characters or universe. I only own the rights to my original characters and ideas (Alanna Becker, her family, the Vitoia, etc...), the plot and any themes or elements you may not recognize. Any names or events relating to real world people and events are purely coincidental. This is a fan work. I do not make any profits off of this work. It is written purely for therapeutic and entertainment purposes.

WARNING:
This story is written for entertainment and therapeutic reasons. While there's a good deal of humor, family-oriented themes and faith, the darker parts include mentions/descriptions of blood, injuries, nightmares and characters experiencing anxiety, PTSD and depression. I want to make that clear because I understand that those things can be triggering for some people. I like to write about characters overcoming these things and healing, as that is what I'm trying to do. If you relate to that or not, I hope you enjoy the story and that it helps/inspires you, too. That's the main reason why I write.

She never thought she would ever meet anyone as egotistical as her brother, but boy was she wrong. She never wanted to be in the lime light like Tony, so she kept a quiet private life, even changed her surname, not wanting to draw attention to herself. She was only a few years old, when their parents died, and Tony didn't want her growing up in the spotlight, so he had her raised away from it all. Though she loved her brother dearly for giving her a safe, quiet life, she missed having that bond with him. That is until the day he announced himself as Iron-man and joined the group of misfits that called themselves heroes. She had worked at the local hospital, as a doctor in the ER, but was often called upon to fix up the idiots who didn't know how to take care of themselves. On one of her shifts, she comes across HIM. That smug, egocentric asshole trying to prove that he knew best, arguing with her about a patient, when she had lost it, and punched him in the face. *** Stephen Strange was a man who prided himself on being the best, and here was this woman, who was telling him how to do his job. She was infuriating, stubborn and a huge pain in his ass. After a public disagreement, that resulted in her suspension, when she hit him, he had found out that she was none other than Tony Starks sister. He attempts to make amends, by inviting her to the party in his honour, in hopes of showing the board that she was an asset to the hospital, when his life takes a turn for the worst, and an accident occurs. Both their worlds collide, seeking help from each other, but can they put their differences aside, or will it tear them apart? I DO NOT OWN ANY CHARACTERS OF MARVEL, THIS IS JUST A FAN FIC. ⚠️Will contain swearing, descriptions of wounds, trauma, violence, mature scenes of a sexual nature, depression⚠️

She was an innocent woman when they took her. He was her only friend when they had her. She didn't understand why they took her. Now she is free and wants revenge. She wants to free him and kill those who have done harm to her and him. She wants to prove to them that she could save the world. Who can help her? Only the Avengers and apparently, her brother. Elizabeth Marie Rogers is the sister of Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America. She was taken by Hydra right after Steve went in the ice. She doesn't remember any of this. Now that she is free, her memory starts to return. She remembers Steve, being taken by Hydra, she even remembers the love of her life and his funeral. She realizes that the Winter Soldier is Bucky, the love of her life. She has to save him, I mean she does owe him her life. She turns to the last people she wants to, the Avengers. The Avengers don't know if they should help her, since they just finished Ultron and since she is a highly-trained, world-known, Grade A assassian. Steve begs them to help. They agree but don't trust her. They save Bucky and see who he was and who she was. They then ask them to join the Avengers. Bucky declines the offer, wanting to live a normal life, but Elizabeth doesn't know if she should join her her brother, fighting evil with her unnatural powers, or stay with Bucky, living a sort of normal life. Who will she choose? She loves them both and doesn't want to leave them. She can't decide, but with this Civil War, she won't have to. Tony doesn't want to work with her, but Steve still wants her help. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This book takes place after Age of Ultron and goes into Civil War. 37 parts Complete Mature

Let's say you had the power to save everyone you've ever cared about and more. Let's say that you could have a do-over every time you lost, every time you messed up, every time you missed something. Let's say that you could have another try anytime, but you had to die to have it. At first, you're happy about it; nothing can stop you. "Just one more time." Then, after a few times, it gets old. Your joints ache and you're tired, and no one around you knows why because you're the only one that remembers. "Just one more." Eventually, you want to give up. You know what death feels like, now, and you've experienced it far too many times than any person should. But now you know everyone by name, by eye color, by voice, by the sound they make when they drop to the floor. You can't just leave them to fend for themselves. "Just one more..." You're done. You've had it. You cry into your pillow, wondering if the curse will ever end. You've lost count of how many times you've tried again. Then you think of those people you had tried to save; they would die without you. You would have blood on your hands. So you pull yourself together and put on a smile. You pretend it's the first time, and you walk through the door like the future is ahead instead of today. And then you say, "Just one more day." "One more day."
