It's been 20 years since the last anyone's seen of the infamous Springwood Slasher. The killings stopped, specifically of teenagers around Springwood, Ohio. Things went back to normal, nobody made any mention of what happened year after year, incident after incident. Nobody bothered to inform people of the infamous Fred Krueger, simply because the less people knew, the more people forgot.
Eventually, it begins again. People begin dying with no explanation, people who have no idea who the burned man in the red and green sweater is. People who are connected in more ways than one, ways they'll find out soon enough.
But the real question is, will they succeed in ridding Springwood, Ohio of this monster once and for all? Or will Freddy Krueger finally get what he's wanted all along - revenge?
