Rune Chapman is a spirited young woman who is capable of and is many things.

After being offered a once in a life time opportunity to come to Pandora and pilot an Avatar, a genetically cloned artificial Na'vi version of herself, Rune simply cannot refuse. Even if her employers are the incredibly ethically questionable RDA.

On Pandora, her wildest dreams are bought to life as she discovers and explores a world that she'd only ever read about in textbooks, only ever seen in photos, only ever known in theory. She's presented with opportunities that many scholars, such as herself, would kill for, and she gets to meet people, both human and Na'vi, that she is proud to call her friends. And maybe... there's one of them that's more than just a friend to her.

But sooner or later, she'll have to make a choice that will have the power to change everything. The question is; is Rune strong enough to make it?
Will she turn her back on the only place she used to call home and enter her new one into welcoming arms?
Or...
Will she succumb to the pressured familiarity of a dying world?
